Want to Cool Off With Your Kids? The Water Playground in Weinbergspark Is a Fun Place to Have a Picnic

Summer in Berlin can sometimes be so hot that you don’t want to do anything. If you have kids, pack a picnic and head to the water playground in Weinbergspark. It’s fun and it’s free.

Located a stone’s throw from Rosenthaler Platz, Weinbergspark is a hilly terrain with a restaurant, large lawns, trees providing areas of shade, a regular playground and the water playground.

The water playground itself isn’t very big, but on hot summer days, Berliners with children crowd around the fountains to cool off.

And it’s not just children who run into the cool water splashes. Youngsters and adults also like to stand under the drops and enjoy getting soaked.

There are benches on one side of the water playground and grass on the other side. Bring a towel, blanket and picnic basket and feel like a Berliner on a hot summer day with the kids.
