Opening hours are short and the line is long, but they prepare your food quickly. So queue up for perhaps the best banh mi in Berlin
It’s easy to get disappointed when you see the long queue on the sidewalk. But join it anyway. You’ll be served quickly, and once you take a bite of the Vietnamese sandwich, you’ll forget you’re in Berlin.
Banh Mi Stable opens conveniently when lunch time rolls around at 12:00 noon. Even before then, the line has already started to grow.
The menu consists of only four items. They are all Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches with pickled carrots and radishes, cucumber, cilantro, and homemade dressing.
The difference between the four is the last ingredient. You can choose between crispy pork, fried tofu, chicken, and omelet.

My go-to is the classic one with crispy pork. The meat crunches crisply when you bite into the sandwich. The taste of the pork blends perfectly with the sweet and sour vegetables and the spicy dressing.
The baguette is perfectly light, warm, and lightly salted. And because it is a baguette, your banh mi is rolled up in packaging so you can easily eat it on the spot or take it with you.
Banh Mi Stable has plenty of seating inside in a pleasant Vietnamese-themed atmosphere. You can also sit outside and enjoy your Vietnamese sandwich in a Berlin sidewalk vibe.

I’ve also tried their banh mi with fried tofu, and it’s definitely delicious too if you’re not into pork.
