Nestled on Osloer Straße, Curry & Chili may appear modest at first glance, but step inside to discover Berlin’s hottest Currywurst adventure.
The Imbiss is sandwiched between the two lanes of Osloer Straße, conveniently located next to the Prinzenallee tram station. Its spicy offerings have made it a popular spot among Berliners.

This is primarily because of the unique chili sauce that defines their Currywurst. However, it comes with a challenge.
Complete all ten levels of chili sauce from mild to fiery within six months, and your photo will go up on the Imbiss wall. Nearly 1,000 people have achieved this challenge—likely with tears streaming down their faces.
There Is No Cheating
You need to finish every bite and scrape your sausage tray clean of hot sauce to impress the grill master. Without that effort, you won’t earn the stamp on your card needed to move forward—and ultimately claim your spot on the wall of fame.
Alongside Currywurst, you’ll find chili-infused candy and spicy chili chips to take home.
For those looking to elevate their heat tolerance, you can purchase bottles of all ten unique chili sauces and embark on your own fiery flavor adventure from the comfort of home.
My 9-year-old decided to take the challenge on her own. She tried step 2 with the sausage and step 1 with the fries. Just to be clear, I didn’t push her to do it!
She valiantly struggled to make it through the meal, but ultimately surrendered as nausea and stomach cramps took hold.
You can also enjoy a currywurst without chili, but the challenge is certainly not suited for children.

Start your chili adventure from the mildest level and work your way up, but be prepared to clear your schedule for the rest of the day.
