The most colorful Christmas market takes place in most colorful neighborhood. Christmas Avenue is located in the heart of Regenbogenkiez
Christmas Avenue isn’t big, but it’s fun and colorful. And it’s not for kids. Even though it’s open from the afternoon, the bouncer warns that some stalls sell stuff for adults.
Since Christmas Avenue is located under the elevated railway at Nollendorfplatz in the heart of Regenbogenkiez, the theme is queer. Naturally friendly, welcoming, and colorful.
The ceiling under the railway is decorated in rainbow colors and reflective disco balls.

Although the lighting is generally dim, colored lamps are lit up everywhere. The stands shine as brightly in the colors of the rainbow as the ceiling, and so do the items you can buy.
Some of the items for sale are LGBTQ+ themed merch. Others are jewelry and clothing – and food, of course, as you would expect at any Christmas market.

At the end of the Christmas market, there is also a stage with scheduled entertainment. And because this is Berlin, you can take a selfie with your partner in the photo booth, which is fittingly named ‘KissmasBooth’.

The Christmas market is definitely designed for pleasure.
You can easily bring your older children along. I brought my children, and with the bouncer’s warning about adult content, we went in and enjoyed the queer Christmas vibe.
